A villa standing in 1,600 square meters of land that consists of two main buildings with very large bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and communal lounge/sitting areas dotted throughout the villa a total of 4 inside the 2 buildings and a large Sala big enough to seat 10 people comfortably. The house, whilst very spacious, only has 4 bedrooms so a sleeping capacity of 8 people with 3 doubles and a twin. There is a 10 x 5 meter infinity edge swimming pool overlooking the gulf of Thailand to the east. Being an east facing house the sunrises are spectacular but in the hottest part of the day in the afternoon the villa enjoys shaded areas and protection from the tropical sun. Below the pool, and on a lower level, is a lovely green garden full of tropical plants. The style is old world Thailand with a strong Sino/Thai influence. Many of the antique furniture pieces are of Chinese origin and the furniture could be classified as sumptuous the only modern aspects being the bed mattresses, bedding and towelling. The rest is like stepping back in time to a previous era. Boasting a very modern kitchen and elegant indoor dining room most guest choose to dine al fresco outside in the Sala beside the pool. The extensive use of good quality wood throughout the villa in the panelling, the flooring, the sweeping staircase and furnishings gives the villa a warm lived in feeling. This is more of a home than a rental villa. Just a 3 minute ride from the airport it is very conveniently located between Cheong Mon and Chaweng. The closest beach is about a 2 minute walk but is very rocky and rather difficult to access. A vehicle is recommended for getting around and the spectacular soft sand beach Choeng Mon is only a 3 minutes drive to the north. Along this beach you can find a great collection of local restaurants, bars and other beach activities to satisfy most discerning visitors. Ideal for small children as it is a shallow shelf with little wave activity. With Wi Fi throughout the villa there are 3 hidden TV’s dotted around, but only for DVD use to help you get away from it all.
